Craft Stick Easter Bunny Bookmarks
These Craft Stick Easter Bunny Bookmarks are very suitable for Easter but are a great accessory for the rest of the year too. To see a cute little paper bunny sticking out of your books and memo pads is a lovely sight.
My daughter has been asking for a bunny as a pet for ages! Even though my sister owns a Persian cat that we cat-sit occasionally, we’ve never owned a pet of our own. Staying in a small rented apartment is not very pet-friendly and so we decided to make a Bunny craft instead that she could keep with her always.
The Popsicle-stick variety of rabbit may not be as cuddly as the real thing, but they can be a lot of fun, too.
Craft Stick Easter Bunny Bookmarks
To make these adorable little play things, you’ll need:
- Popsicle sticks,
- acrylic paint,
- permanent markers,
- paintbrushes,
- glue and scissors.
Paint the “clothes” first (basically two large strips of color), and then add details like arms, smiles and even jewelry.
We used the Jumbo Craft sticks for this craft so that the bookmarks were nice and chunky. Using a brush & acrylic paint 1/4th of the stick white and the rest a nice bright color for the overalls. Let dry.
Using a white gel pen, chalk marker or acrylic paint, draw some designs for the overalls.
Use a black permanent marker to add the eyes, nose, mouth and whiskers .
Cut out two ear-shaped pieces from a white sheet of construction paper. Using pink markers add highlights.
Glue them to the back of the bunny’s body as shown in the image below.
Looking at the blue bookmark, Miss P wanted a pink one too. So we made another one. We even cut out two small carrots for the bunnies so that they don’t go hungry.
This simple craft is just in time for holidays and once your kids are done making these Craft Stick Easter Bunny Bookmarks they will be able to play with them which doubles the fun!
This one is super cute ❤️❤️
