Even though I have never experienced autumn in all its glory having stayed all my life in central and southern India and now in Singapore, I have always wanted to make a Fall Wreath! A wreath in shades of brown and orange is a great way to welcome Fall; throw in a bit of purple and you have a perfect way to dress up your front door for Halloween too!

Easy DIY Fall Wreath with Twine and Pinecones

Materials Required to make the Fall Wreath:

• Wreath base, I used a thermocol/styrofoam wreath, you can also make your own with cardboard.
• Hot Glue
• Jute rope/twine, you can also use ribbon.
• Wooden buttons in assorted sizes
• Paper or artificial flowers in fall colors.
• Fall themed knick knacks and embellishments. I used pumpkins, leaves, potpourri etc. from my stash
• Shimmer antiquing spray (optional)

Instructions:

Making the wreath is pretty simple and straight forward. Begin by hot gluing the end of the jute rope to the back side of the wreath. Tightly wrap the rope around the wreath leaving no gaps in between.

Cover the whole wreath with rope and hot glue the end of the rope at the back.

Now,  just stick the flowers where you would like them. I initially covered the entire wreath with flowers but felt it looked a tad too much. So, I removed most of them leaving only a third of the wreath covered with flowers.

Add wooden buttons in the center of the flowers; also add a few buttons here and there to fill up empty spaces.

Add some autumn themed embellishments like potpourri pieces, tiny pumpkins, artificial leaves and pine cones.

I finished the wreath by spraying on some shimmer antiquing mist in to give it an antique look, but this step can be skipped.

So here it is, a little piece of “Fall” in sunny Singapore!!

This project piles it all on with leaves, buttons, twine, pumpkins, and pine cones, just to name a few components. Your front door is about to get a whole lot prettier for sure.
