For a very long time, my daughter used to think a jellyfish was a fish that liked eating jelly just like her! So when she had to go to school dressed as a jellyfish, we added a visit to the aquarium to introduce her to a live one. She’s a big fan of these squiggly creatures from then on.
J for Jellyfish Craft with Printable Template
Jellyfish have lived in oceans for millions of years, even before dinosaurs lived on the Earth! Isn’t this a fun craft to help us learn a bit more about them?
Supplies needed to make this J for Jellyfish Craft:
- Printable Template
- Pink Felt or Construction Paper or craft foam sheets
- Pieces of squiggly ribbons – Pink, green
- An old CD
- Scissors
- Glue Gun or Glue stick if using paper.
- Googly Eyes
Steps to make this J for Jellyfish Craft:
Print the Craft template on an A4 or Letter Sized paper. Cut out all the parts – the Pink body out of felt & all the pieces of ribbons. You can use riff-raff, crepe paper ribbon or even cloth scraps cut in long strips for the tentacles. Use the cutout template as your reference points and trace onto Felt. We used a 2mm stiff felt to make this craft. Alternately, you could use construction paper or craft foam in similar colors.
Glue the Body to the CD first. Then add the squiggly bits at the bottom. You could also use wool/yarn to make the tentacles. Finally, add googly eyes at the top and your Jellyfish craft is ready.
