Welcome to ArtsyCraftsyMom

Hi, I’m Shruti — the Artsy Craftsy Mom

I create simple, creative, and classroom-friendly crafts, art activities, and printables that help children learn, play, and make meaningful memories.

From a quick afternoon project at home to a ready-to-use classroom activity, my goal is to make creativity feel joyful, practical, and achievable.

A little about me

I’m Shruti Acharya, and I live with my family in Bengaluru, India. Crafting has been part of my life since I was a child. When my daughter was three, I started ArtsyCraftsyMom to document the creative projects we enjoyed together and to encourage other families to make time for hands-on creativity.

Over the years, this little blog has grown into a resource for parents, teachers, homeschoolers, and anyone who wants to help children create, explore, and learn. I believe a project does not need to be complicated or expensive to be meaningful.

With paper, colours, everyday materials, and a little imagination, children can practise important skills while having fun. That is the heart of ArtsyCraftsyMom.

Why I do this

Children need opportunities to use their hands, make decisions, solve small problems, and feel proud of what they create. ArtsyCraftsyMom exists to make those moments easier to find and easier to enjoy.

Whether you are a parent planning an afternoon activity, a teacher preparing a lesson, or a homeschooler building a creative routine, I hope you find an idea here that works for you.
