#AbHarWishHogiPoori with Flipkart  – is an endearing chain of human wishes that travels between customers spread across geographies, gender and age and connects them through their desires and aspirations

Its so funny how our lives are interlinked.. I was browsing the net for some materials and chanced upon my friend Khushboo Motihar’s blog .. She Wished for a Apple MacBook Air from Flipkart.com for her sister. Read her story here ..

Do Wishes Come True

Growing up , I always held on to some silly superstitions to make my wishes come true..

I would close my eyes and blow a fallen eyelash and would wait for my wish to come true, I would wish upon a falling star, at pooja aartis, before an exam. I would wish when I blew out birthday candles. Luckily, I always informed my mom secretly what I wished for! and you know what? My wishes always came true! LOL.

Talking about wishes brought back memories of our romance that blossomed over numerous chats & emails back in 2002. My Hubby ( then boyfriend ) was in Bahrain and I was in India. The long distance romance was tough but we had our humble computers letting us keep in touch constantly. We emailed each other everyday. Thinking about it now makes me smile. Talking to each other was not enough anymore and I wished that I could see him. Skype was not an option, so we bought our first camera – a Sony 2MP point and shoot cyber shot,  just so I could see what he saw .. and we were together in those moments we were apart..

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
— Aaron Siskind

Moments are beautiful and full of a variety of emotions.  They can be happy, sad, traumatic, and so many other things.  With my camera, I capture a piece of my life.  Our baby growing. A hug. Our trips, the love. With every picture,  I remember everything possible about the day, scene, time, or place. I love moments, which is why I fell in love with photography. I now capture wishes, dreams & moments for others too. Here are some of my latest shoots picked from my photography site..

Our cameras too have come a long way  – from a humble kodak ( with film) to Sony 2MP point and shoot cybershot – to a Sony 12MP compact camera to our Canon T2i DSLR.  Photography changes the way you see things.  Suddenly you notice light, shapes, colors, textures, people, buildings, trees, flowers. So today, if I could wish for something that I could buy – it would be a new camera – I have my eye on this beauty  ..The new Canon EOS 7D Mark II Kit

We all have the power to make Wishes Come true as long as we keep believing 🙂

Have you ever noticed that when you think of something desired, in some time your dream comes true, even though you’ve already forgotten about it? That’s what happened with me! My wish is coming true too! Hubby has already booked my new camera from Flipkart and it’ll be arriving soon.

If you could wish for something that you could buy, What would it be?
