So we were shopping at a local super market near our home when we ran into two guys letting people sample some free cake. It was a live demo for Nestle Milkmaid Creation – eggless cake mix. They must have studied child psychology cos they very smartly targeted the kids and enticed them with a free maggie packet along with the cake mix….  Now, Lil P is a big sucker for free stuff and insisted that she loved the cake and wanted to buy it.. till that point I was very skeptical. Anyway, we bought it.

We tried it today and I must say, it tops my list of easiest cake mixes ever!.. All I needed was half a packet of butter at room temp ( we used nutralite 100gm pack)  and 150ml of drinking soda (I poured1/3 of 500 ml pack) . I used a wire whipper to beat 1/4 of the packet contents along with the butter for 3 mins.. and added soda n rest of powder mixing till it formed a smooth batter.. I had preheated the oven to 180 degrees for about 10 mins.. I poured it into a greased 6″ square tin.. I also sprinkled some raisins on top just before I popped it in the oven.. The cake was ready in 25 mins.. and it was just the best melt in the mouth soft, moist and fluffiest eggless cake mix.  This is not a sponsored post… Just loved the way it turned out and wanted to share it with you guys.

The packet is priced at 95Rs.

@priya – it has cooker version & OTG version..
Not sure about microwave.. but I don’t see why that would not work either. My mom tried it in cooker and it turned out good too. They say it takes 30-40 mins to cook… It cooks earlier.
