Today is Dr. Seuss’s birthday and the artsycraftsy household is CRAZY about his books. There was no doubt what would be the theme for today’s class. We read the One fish two fish , red fish , blue fish and marveled at all the rhyming words and made some cute Origami Fishes

To make the One Fish Two Fish Dr Seuss Craft, You’ll Need –

  1. Square Origami papers in Red, Blue , Yellow & Green
  2. pipe cleaner bits in green
  3. Googly eyes
  4. Black marker
  5. Sea shells
  6. Blue construction paper A4 size
  7. Glue
  8. Bubble Wrap
  9. Blue paint ( tempura colours)
  10. Foam dots (optional)
  11. Small pebbles.
  12. Velvet Foam in green for the sea grass
  13. Foam cutouts – Underwater creatures

 

 

Steps For the One Fish Two Fish Dr Seuss Craft

  1. Start with a Square piece of paper .
  2. Fold diagonally in half.
  3. Open
  4. Fold Diagonally across other edge
  5. Open to reveal criss-cross fold.
  6. Fold in half midway so that all 4 corners meet.
  7. Open
  8. Now press slightly in the middle to form a cone.
  9. Bring the left and right sides together 
  10.  paper collapses into a triangle.
  11. Rotate and fold one bottom edge on top to form a fin
  12. Fold the Top edge over the bottom to make another fin
  13. Turn over , paste googly eyes & draw a mouth

  1. Make 4 fishes – Red, Blue, Yellow & green in different sizes.
  2. paste on top of a A4 sized Blue construction paper
  3. Using bubble wrap & tempura colours add Bubble wrap prints on the background.
  4. paste the Foam dots, sea creatures, pebbles, sand, Pipecleaners at the bottom for added effect.
