Fantastic Mr Fox is a trickster-adventure story by Roald Dahl, a British writer. Mr Fox is (of course) fantastic-Miss Had this book for her 3rd Grade Language studies and we were thrilled! The clever Mr. Fox faces seemingly impossible odds to take care of his family & friends. To celebrate Roald Dahl’s Birthday, that coming up soon (13th September), we decided to make this
Paper Plate Fantastic Mr. Fox Craft
I was inspired to make this as a puppet for Miss P after seeing this gorgeous Artic Fox craft by Rachel from I Heart Crafty Things.
Materials to make the Paper Plate Fantastic Mr. Fox Craft
- Orange paper plate
- Scissors
- Glue gun
- Black pom pom
- A pair of googly eyes
- Cream hand made paper or craft paper
Directions
Cut out a triangle from the cardstock ( you can use ordinary craft paper too) . Use the paper plate cutout as a template and then make zig zag cuts at the top to form its furry nose. Using glue gun, stick in place. Let dry.
Complete the face of the Fox by sticking a black Pom Pom for its nose, 2 googly eyes and ears. We added cream cardstock for the ears too. Felt would have been nicer, but we didn’t have any.
Finally glue all of the pieces together to the paper plate half as shown above and you have Paper Plate Fantastic Mr. Fox Craft ready.
