These Montessori-inspired Printable Fruit Themed Shape Match for kids will please any little fruit lover! Our latest printable is a shape match, to help toddlers and preschoolers learn about shapes with the help from some smiling fruits!

We have 10 fruits – Apple, Pineapple, Star Fruit, Grapes, Blueberries, Lemon, Orange, Avacado, a Pear & a Banana.. each showing us a different 2D shape – Rectangle, Circle, Star, Pentagon, Square, Triangle, Oval,  Hexagon, Semi Circle & a Heart.  Each on a separate sheet plus a sheet with all the matching shapes.

To prep: Print the Fruit Shape Matching Mats and Cards and laminate. Then put the clear side of the Clear Velcro dots on top of each picture on the mat.

To make sure that the Velcro dots line up, a tip that has always worked for me is to attach the two sides of the velcro together and then press the matching card on top.

For smaller kids, first ask them to match the pieces by color and while doing so use this opportunity to talk about the shape, fruit and color.

These shapes have been laminated for durability as a busy bag. You can also use card stock (cardboard) to print directly onto.

These sheets work well as play doh mats once laminated. To use them as a play dog mat, roll out the play dough like a “snake” or a ball, then into a press the play doh covering the shape on the mat completely.

The cards can be used as a memory game, for matching to like objects, grouping by colors, etc. You can also use the picture cards to practice identifying fruits {or sort by what they like and dislike…}, the possibilities are endless.
