Make an adorable E for Elephant Craft with Printable Template suitable for forest animals, safari, letter E theme, mammals theme or just for fun.

We move on to our next A to Z Alphabet Animal Craft with the letter E.  This craft is from our eBook – A to Z Alphabet Animal Crafts for Kids.  E is for elephant and exciting and enormous…all things kindergartners love.

 E for Elephant Craft would be a great supplement to your Letter of the week curriculum,studying the letter E, talking about wild animals, Studying about mammals or if you have a Safari theme birthday party.

Elephant Appreciation Day falls on September 22nd, but who needs a specific date to appreciate the grandeur of the elephant? Celebrate these majestic animals by making an E for Elephant Craft! The Asiatic Elephant is also a part of a lot of Indian Celebrations – our favorite Hindu God, Ganesha has an elephant head too! An elephant also leads the main chariot during Dussehra celebrations at Mysore. And who can forget Elmer & Horton?

This adorable Elephant craft uses a printable template, Felt, and a CD to make a project perfect for a Forest Animal, a safari, study about mammals, letter E theme or just for fun.

Supplies needed to make the E for Elephant Craft:

 

  • Printable Template
  • Blue Felt or Construction Paper or craft foam sheets
  • White Felt or Construction Paper or craft foam sheets
  • An old CD
  • Scissors
  • Glue Gun or Glue stick if using paper.
  • Googly Eyes

Steps to make the Elephant Craft:

Print the Craft template on an A4 or Letter Sized paper. Cut out all the parts – the  Head, ears, trunk, & tusks. Use these cutout templates as your reference points and trace onto Felt. We used a 2mm stiff felt to make this craft. Alternately, you could use construction paper or craft foam in similar colors.

Use a Glue gun ( when using felt) to secure the elephant’s head on top of an old CD. Glue the ears behind the CD, stick the tusks behind the trunk and then finally glue the trunk on top.

Add googly eyes and our adorable Pachyderm is ready for some pretend play.

This printable E for Elephant craft is perfect for Kids aged 5 and above and improves their fine motor skills, visual perception, and hand-eye coordination. Parents and teachers can also make these at home or class and have their child or students assemble it independently. These crafts can be made by teachers and used as props, puppets, or even for classroom decoration.
