DIY Craft Stick Harry Potter Bookmarks
Supplies required:
- Craft sticks
- Craft papers in different colors
- Markers
- Scissors
- Glue
How to make the Craft Stick Harry Potter Bookmarks:
1. Download and print the Harry Potter bookmarks template. The template includes bookmarks based on Hagrid, Harry, Hermione and Ron. The template includes faces, hair, robes, scarves, pants and shoes.
2. Trace and cut the parts of the template on craft papers of the appropriate colors. We’ve used light pink for the faces, and chosen the hair color according to the characters – like going with a bright orange for Ron Weasley! The robes are black or dark grey, while Gryffindor scarves have a base of yellow. You can use brown or any dark color for the shoes.
3. Let’s start by assembling the outfits of our Harry Potter bookmarks. Stick the shoes to the bottom of the pants for all the characters.
4. Now stick the pants to the bottom of the robes, applying glue to the back of the robe.
5. Let’s move on to the upper parts of the Harry Potter bookmarks. Cut out slits in the hairpieces as shown in the template. Insert the face into these slits so your character heads are properly set.
6. Now’s the fun part – adding the facial details on the characters! Use a marker to draw eyes, a nose, and a mouth. Don’t forget the glasses and the lightning scar on Harry! For Hagrid, stick the beard on before drawing the nose and mouth.
7. Stick the heads on top of the bodies that you assembled earlier in step 4.
8. Our Hogwarts gang here belongs to the House of Gryffindor, which should be reflected in their scarves. Use a red marker to draw thick stripes on the yellow scarves. Stick these to the base of the heads of our Harry Potter bookmarks.
9. Only one step left now – attaching the craft sticks! Stick the craft stick to the back of the robes. Leave the legs free, so you can insert the page between the legs and the stick.
10. That’s it – your Harry Potter bookmarks are ready, and the terrific trio and Hagrid are all set to bring a dose of magic to your reading!
