Owls became pretty popular when the first Harry Potter book was released, and its popularity has only grown! Owls became a fashion accessory and suddenly everyone was obsessed with this bird. I remember lots of books I read in my childhood that depicted owls as wise creatures, and that is my inspiration for this O for Owl Craft!
O for Owl Craft with Printable Template
This cute little owl craft needs a printable template and colored felt. You could easily turn this into a paper craft by substituting the Felt with construction paper or cardstock, or you could also try craft foam.
Supplies needed to make this O for Owl Craft:
- Printable Template
- Dark Brown Felt or Construction Paper or craft foam sheets
- Yellow Felt or Construction Paper or craft foam sheets
- Orange Felt or Construction Paper or craft foam sheets
- Scissors
- Glue Gun or Glue stick if using paper.
- Googly Eyes
Steps to make this O for Owl Craft:
Print the Craft template on an A4 or Letter Sized paper. Cut out all the parts – the brown body and wings, yellow tummy and orange beak.
Use these cutout templates as your reference points and trace onto Felt. We used a 2mm stiff felt to make this craft. Alternately, you could use construction paper or craft foam in similar colors.
Use a Glue gun ( when using felt) to secure the owl’s tummy on top of the brown body. Glue on the wings and beak.
Add the eyes and your owl craft is ready.
