Got out all the toys we bought from sawantwadi ( Read trip to goa) .. Lil P n her friend enjoyed forming the alphabet train..

With all the chinese plastic toys that u see around, watching kids enjoy with handmade wooden toys is very comforting. Donโ€™t u agree??

    @Meira: If u find Cauvery or Lepakshi showrooms in Delhi, u cn get these toys there ๐Ÿ™‚

    They r the handloom/handicraft outlets of Karnataka/ A.P respectively ๐Ÿ™‚

    @meira : Oh there are lot of options!! Chennapatna toys on the way to mysore like swaram said. (Available in cauvery emporium on MG Road bangalore).. I think in andhra too there is a place where they do make it. I’ll get more info and update this post soon.

    @Rohini : Some of the educational wooden toys are available at leading toy stores and supermarkets. The traditional ones might be expensive. Check out these links

    @Aparna : Thanks for dropping by ๐Ÿ™‚ As a kid I loved playing with the wooden utensils. My mom has saved them till now n now its my daughter’s turn to play with them..

    These wooden toys are amazing.
    I remember taking a train to Calcutta from Delhi every year in summer.There were men selling some beautiful wooden toys in Mughalsarai station. We loved them and my mom always bought some for all the cousins.
    Even cottage industry in Delhi stocks these lovely toys.
