15 Magical Melted Crayon Art Projects for Kids
Even broken crayons work – in the form of melted crayon art projects! Here are some truly magical things to make out of those little crayon bits!
Here at Artsy Craftsy Mom, we always think twice before throwing out anything. We’re constantly wondering what we can make with ‘trash’ and how we can recycle it into treasure!
And so it was with some bits and pieces of crayons that I found when cleaning up the other day. They were too small to color with, so I decided – melted crayon art it is!
Tips for making Melted Crayon Art Projects:
- Melted crayon art requires the use of heat, so always make sure kids have an adult nearby
- It’s best for everyone involved to make an apron and gloves, to protect your hands and your clothes
- Keep a baking dish or sheet specifically for art purposes and don’t use it for food
- Always do the art projects on a hard surface and not on the bed or couch
- Melted crayon can be cleaned from wooden floors and tables using an all-purpose cleaner
Now that we’ve got all the precautions in place, let’s move on to making art!
