The 6th Birthday..

Lil P turned 6 today.. She woke up early and got ready to celebrate at school. Wore a lovely cotton dress bought from Doodle .. Took some nice pics of her in early morning light.

At school she gave chocolates to all her friends , teachers and ayahs.

Today was also pet day at school. Since it was impractical to take my sister’s kitten to school, I took special permission and sent a blown up A4 size pic instead. Lil p was thrilled to talk about our pet kitten – Golu.. We ended our evening with a trip to the local Ganesha temple.

This last year , I have seen her grow into a lovely girl. She has immense patience for the things she loves, yet highly whiney and impatient when she wants attention. Shez pretty good at maths and is doing very well at school.  Her handwriting has improved by leaps and bounds and is quite neat now. She is able to write faster too. The non smudge, triangular pencils have helped. She uses her left hand with a lot of finesse.

Getting her to enjoy sports is still a challenge. Her flat foot gives her a bit of problem. This year she is learning Gymnastics & Dance in her school.

Food wise, she is still largely fussy about what she eats. But I’m glad she is exploring sweets.. She eats kaju barfi, small jilebi, gulabjamuns sometimes and boondi laddoo now. Her allergies are also very very less this year. *TouchWood*. She can survive on dosa, cheese & curd. She eats most fruits but is extremely picky about the vegetables. Its my mistake only.. we have all been so obsessed about what she should eat or not eat because of her earlier allergies. Mom also noticed that her motion sickness reduces to a large extent  if she drinks apple juice first thing in the morning. Don’t ask me what the connection is! We have stopped giving her Ondem completely and she has had an uneventful 6 months now.

She loves giving 6 kisses and family huggies [ a group hug]. She also loves getting triangular kissies.. where I & hubby dearest plant kisses on her cheeks on either side simultaneously. This has to be repeated for me & then for hubby.  Her fav phrase is “Mummy I love you soooooooooo much.. from the left side of the sun to the end of universe” Ohh my shona baby.. May you stay as loving as ever. Here’s wishing you many many happy returns of this day..
