We know of how Santa gets to so many houses on Christmas Eve to deliver his presents – he has a team of reindeer to help him! When we think of Santa’s reindeer, there’s one name that pops up first – Rudolph!

Being so popular, you’d think that he’s the seniormost in the group, but that’s not true – Rudolph is actually the youngest of Santa’s reindeer! But let’s get to the real question:

Why is Rudolph’s nose red?

The story goes that Rudolph’s nose isn’t just red – it’s luminous. Rudolph’s nose is what lights up the way for Santa and the rest of the reindeer to travel. However, science says that reindeer have red noses because they’re full of blood vessels. These vessels warm cold air entering the body, keeping them warm and healthy.

Well, in any case we’re excited, because we’ve got a cute and easy toilet paper roll Rudolph craft for you today, and all you need are a cardboard tube and some craft paper!

2. Trace the parts of the template on craft papers of the appropriate colors and cut them out. We’ve chosen a brown for the reindeer’s head, body and outer ears. We’ve gone with beige for the face and pink for the inner ears and cheeks. The scarf can be any color you like – we’ve chosen green, and of course, the nose has to be red, since this is Rudolph we’re talking about!

10. Let’s get to the base of our toilet paper roll Rudolph craft – the body. Cut out a rectangle from the same brown paper you used for the head. The width of the rectangle should be the same as the height of your toilet paper roll and the length should be long enough to cover the roll completely.
