Adorable Handprint Monkey Craft for Kids
Supplies required:
- Colored craft papers
- Craft glue
- Pencil
- Googly eyes
- Sharpies
- A pair of scissors
How to make the Handprint Monkey Craft:
1. Download the Handprint Monkey Craft template. The template contains parts of the monkey including the head, face, ears, tail and a handprint body.
2. Trace the parts of the template on craft paper of the appropriate colors and cut them out. You can either use a child’s handprint for the body, or go with the handprint provided in the template. Choose dark brown for the head, outer ears, body and tail, and light brown for the face and inner ears.
3. Let’s start with our cute monkey’s face! Stick the face in the middle of the head cutout.
4. Stick the inner ears inside the outer ears, applying glue in the center.
5. Now stick the ears on top of the head, applying glue to the back.
6. Let’s move on with the assembly of our handprint monkey craft – stick the head on top of the handprint. Make sure the handprint is facing the side and not top or bottom!
7. A monkey isn’t a monkey without a tail to swing from the trees! Stick the tail to the monkey’s bottom, which is the palm end of the handprint.
8. Time to add some details to our handprint monkey craft! Stick the googly eyes on the monkey’s face. Use a black Sharpie or marker to draw eyes, nose and a mouth. A pink marker works well for the cheeks an d this completes your handprint monkey craft!
