Bright and Colorful Toilet Paper Roll Rocket

Supplies required:
- Empty toilet paper roll or cardboard tube
- Craft paper in assorted colors
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
- Ruler
- Sharpies or markers in different colors
- Paints – acrylic or poster
How to make the Toilet Paper Roll Rocket Craft:
1. Let’s start with the main element of our toilet paper roll rocket – the paper roll! You can use a regular-size one, but if you want to make a larger rocket, a kitchen paper roll would work better.

2. Gently press down on the toilet paper roll to flatten it a little, as shown in the image below.

3. Download and print the Toilet Paper Roll Rocket template. The template includes the outline of the rocket, as well as the flame and ‘windows’. Cut out the rocket outline from your printout.

4. Use the rocket cutout as a stencil to draw a rocket shape on the toilet paper roll with a pencil.

5. Cut along the pencil lines so you end up with a rocket shape like the one shown below.

6. Use poster colors or acrylic paints to fill in the nose and fin of the rocket – we’ve chosen red to make it pop! The base of your toilet paper roll rocket is ready, let’s put it aside for now so the paint can dry completely.

7. Trace the remaining parts of the toilet paper roll rocket template on craft paper and cut them out. We’ve used orange and yellow for the flames, and light blue for the windows.

8. Stick the smaller flame inside the larger one, aligning the straight edges. Take a blue Sharpie or marker and draw outlines on the windows.

9. Once the paint on your rocket has dried completely, stick the windows on the body. Make sure they’re in a straight line and equidistant from each other so your toilet paper roll rocket looks professional!

10. Apply glue on the straight edge of the flame and stick it to the back end of the rocket.

That’s it – your toilet paper roll rocket is all done and ready to blast off into space!
