“What adults don’t always understand is that to a kid, a comic book is like a movie.” ~ Angela Bowie
Today, we have entire fan clubs dedicated to superheroes like Superman, Batman and others, and the movies have been top grossers across the world. However, one fact that most of us forget is that these aren’t movie characters – their origin is from the good old comic book!
When we were young, comic books were incredibly popular, and we used to trade them with friends at school. It is a special thrill to see our childhood heroes become large-scale superheroes on the big screen! As we celebrate National Comic Book Day on 25th September, it’s a good time to check out these fun facts about comic books.
Fun Facts about Comic Books
- The first real comic book is believed to be ‘Famous Funnies’, which was released in the U.S. in 1933

- The most expensive comic book is ‘Action Comics #1’ from 1938 which sold for $3.2 Million in 2014
