When is National Dandelion Day celebrated?
Every year, National Dandelion Day is celebrated on 5th April.
Are dandelions white or yellow?
Both white and yellow dandelions are commonly found across the world. The yellow varieties are found in the United States, Russia and Kazakastan while the white ones are found in Asian countries like Japan, Korea and India. There are also pink and purple dandelions.
Why are dandelions special?
Dandelions have a unique structure, with a long step and the hairy head, giving rise to names like ‘lion’s tooth’, ‘monk’s head’, ‘puffball’ or ‘blowball’. Dandelions are considered to represent the celestial bodies; the yellow represents the sun, the seeds resemble stars while puff ball represents the moon.
Why do people wish on dandelions?
Many people believe that dandelion seeds will carry your thoughts and dreams to loved ones when you blow them into the air. As dandelions turn to seed, children everywhere rush to pick them, so that they can close their eyes, make a wish, and blow the seeds into the air.
So are you ready to make your wish? Well then, it’s time to make your own cupcake liner dandelion craft!
