Adorable Paper Fairy Craft for Kids
This Paper Fairy Craft for Kids will be one of the prettiest paper crafts you ever make! Perfect to go with a storybook or for a DIY puppet show!
Right from childhood, we hear about fairies and other mystical creatures in fairy tales, who grant wishes or rescue people from bad situations. A fairy seems like someone who’d make an excellent friend since she’s always ready to help and is unconditionally on your side!
Then the inevitable happens and we grow up, and we realize with sadness that fairies don’t exist in real life. But every once in a while, we meet someone who is no less than a fairy, when they show us their unwavering support and love. They can be among friends, colleagues, neighbors, or cousins – goodness can be found anywhere!

How to make the Paper Fairy Craft for Kids:
1. Download and print the template for the paper fairy craft. The printable template contains parts for the paper fairy craft, including the head and torso, hair, wings, arms, legs, dress, leaves and band for the wreath.
2. Trace the parts of the template onto craft paper of the appropriate colors and cut them out. You can use paper in any skin tone color for the torso and limbs. Go with blonde, black or any color for the hair. Keep the wings white and go crazy with the dress – choose any color you like!
3. Let’s start by getting the dress ready. Pick up the long rectangle for the skirt portion, and fold it in accordion style to create a ‘pleated’ effect as shown below.
4. Keep the dress away for now. Time to fix the hair now! Stick the fringe or front part of the hair on the head portion.
5. Now stick the larger hair piece behind the head, so it appears from around the sides of the head. Stick the small rectangle of the dress on the torso part.
6. Let’s finish dressing our paper fairy craft! Stick the pleated skirt on the base of the small rectangle. Now stick the arms and legs in the appropriate positions, applying glue behind the body.
7. Time to make our plain girl into a fairy – by attaching some wings! Stick the wings to the back of the body, ensuring it is placed in the center so the wings appear symmetrical when looking from the front.
8. Time to add some finishing touches on our paper fairy craft! Use colored markers to add eyes, nose, cheeks and a smile on the fairy’s face.
9. You can leave the paper fairy craft as it is, but if you want to dress it up further, you can add a band on the head, and then stick on some leaves to make a wreath.
That’s it – your paper fairy craft is done!
How pretty is this little fairy? What we love about this craft is that the paper fairy craft doesn’t have to be a blue-eyed, blonde girl – she can very well be dark-haired or red-haired, having brown skin with green or black eyes. Your paper fairy craft can be of any ethnicity you like, and you can even make her a little quirky with purple hair!
