DIY Burlap Button Flower Garden Wall Art
I have a confession to make; I love buttons, especially bright colored ones. I go crazy like a pirate who’s just found treasure whenever I see buttons in craft shops. So it goes without saying I have a HUGE collection of buttons in all shapes, sizes, and colors! Now that I am a mom I can finally put them to use.
My 4-year old daughter and I love crafts involving buttons; we even do a lot of button crafts on playdates. Today I’ll be sharing 2 button craft burlap canvases that will brighten up your child’s room. They are super easy to make and what’s more your child can help too!

Supplies Used:
- 2 small burlap canvases, mini measuring approx. 4”x6”.
I initially intended to make a button frame too but later decided against it. - Liquid glue/hot glue
- Bright colored buttons in different sizes
To make the frames:
These canvases are pretty straightforward and easy to make. For the first canvas, I simply wrote out my daughter’s name “Kriti” with the smallest size buttons I had in my stash.
I chose one color family for each alphabet and moved from lighter to darker colors from top to bottom.
Once I was satisfied with the placement I simply stuck the buttons in place with liquid glue and set it aside to dry.
Miss K helped me make the second canvas, we wanted to create a bright and happy flower garden.
She picked the colors and I did the layout of the flowers, taking care to align the holes on the buttons in the same direction. We also added a button butterfly. Kriti insisted on adding 3 stars which, in my opinion, were totally unnecessary, it was meant to be a sunny afternoon scene! But you can’t really reason with a 4-year-old so I let them stay.
We had a great time making these and both of us love how they turned out!
