Pi, symbolized by π, is an irrational number whose digits never end. Pi is crucial for determining the area and circumference of curved objects like circles. We represent Pi as 3.14 in most calculations, and since March 14th is also represented by 3-14, we got ourselves the perfect Pi Day!

The first Pi Day was celebrated in 1988, and it was started by physicist Larry Shaw. We’re all excited to celebrate this fun number, and we’ve lined up some cool Pi Day activities for kids to get started!
