Today we are making those drab looking pencils stand out with this pipe cleaner pencil bird toppers. Watch how your child safeguards the cute accessorized pencils now. Writing could suddenly become a favorite activity too! Yes, you can thank me later.
Pipe Cleaner Pencil Topper Bird
Supplies to make Pipe Cleaner Pencil Topper Bird
You will need
- One giant pencil
- Orange fluffy pipe cleaner
- A pair of googly eyes
- A pair of pink feathers
- A yellow foam triangle for the beak and
- Glue
- Scissors
Instructions to make the Pipe Cleaner Pencil Topper Bird
- Hold the pencil with the pointy side facing down. Choose a nice thick pencil in matching colors so that the birds stand out. Roll the pipe cleaner around the pencil in a tight grip. You can stretch it slightly taking care that there are no gaps between each roll. A fuzzy pipe cleaner works better than a metallic one.
- Cut out a small triangle out of yellow foam for its beak. Using glue, stick in two feathers to form the crown. We used nice bright colors – Pink Feathers with orange. Or you could make your own in any bright color. Stick on the googly eyes and the foam triangle for its beak and you are done
