Cupcake Liner Angel Craft
Here’s a fun ornament to add to your tree decor this Christmas – a cute cupcake liner angel craft! It’s recyclable, eco-friendly and easy to make!
If you’ve been with us for any length of time, you know our favorite crafts are the easy, upcycled kind. We love taking regular things from around the house and turning them into something pretty!
That’s why we love toilet paper rolls and cupcake liners so much – there’s so much you can do with them! For instance, we’ve turned cupcake liners into a caterpillar, a dandelion, a dinosaur, an owl, a Christmas tree, a Father’s Day badge, and even Princess Leia from Star Wars!
We’re doing the same today, and since it’s the holiday season, we’ve got a cute little cupcake liner angel craft for you to make!

Supplies required:
- Craft paper in different colors
- Cupcake liner
- Golden paper/shiny paper
- Scissors
- Craft glue
- Sharpies
How to make the Cupcake Liner Angel Craft:
1. Download and print the Cupcake Liner Angel Craft template. The template contains parts of the angel, like face, hair, and halo – that’s it! We’ve got parts to make two angels so that you can experiment with different colors for the face and hair.
2. Trace the parts of the template on craft paper of the appropriate colors and cut them out. As we mentioned, you can experiment with the face and hair colors, making your angel of any ethnicity you like. For our first angel, we’ve chosen a light brown for the face and a dark brown for the hair. Since you want your halo to be shiny, choose a golden paper. If you don’t have any shiny paper, yellow will do just fine.

3. Let’s start the cupcake liner angel craft by sticking the hairpiece on top of the face. Apply glue to the top, so that the ends of the hair can be pushed behind the face, as shown in the image below.

4. Attach the halo strip to the top of the head, aligning both left and right edges.

5. Time to bring out your Sharpies! Use a black one to draw eyes, a nose and mouth, and a pink one to draw cheeks. Your angel is looking cute!

6. Now for our star – the cupcake liner! Flatten it a little and cut it in half so you get two semicircles. One will be the angel’s wings, while the other will be the dress.

7. Take the semicircle you plan to use for the dress and fold it in half so you get a quarter circle.

8. Attach the head of the cupcake liner angel craft to the pointy end of the folded cupcake liner with glue. Your angel has a dress!

9. Take the other half of the liner and cut a slit starting from the middle of the curved edge to about halfway in, as shown.

10. Fold in the two sides of the slit.

11. Turn the folded cupcake liner upside down, so the inner, white edge is visible.

12. Apply glue in the middle of the wings and attach the angel on it.

There you go, your cupcake liner angel craft is ready! Now let’s try with different colors and a different cupcake liner!

Kids will enjoy trying out different combinations of cupcake liners and craft papers to create their own custom cupcake liner angel craft. This is a great way to use up any stray cupcake liners you may have. You could also create multiple angels and string them to create a holiday-special banner – how pretty would that be?
